This anchor, from the former oceanographic research vessel HMNZS Tui, was presented to the City of Napier by the Royal New Zealand Navy on 29 September 1999.Napier was the ship's adopted home port during its service with the RNZN, 1970-1997. Napier abounds with all sorts of activities, and it has a variety of types of accommodation. Once you're settled in, you may want to take a personally guided tour through historic Napier and the Hawkes Bay region, and visit the top attractions.
