CAPE REINGA

Well known for its landmark lighthouse, is a step headland above the tumultuous meeting point of the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean, where these two forces collide in a fury of salt and spray.

Kaitaia is the Far North's largest town and home to the far North Regional Museum, which showcases Northland's strong Maori and Yugoslavian heritage.
