Devonport Navel Base
| The Royal New Zealand Navy has many land-based facilities and services based in devonport, predominantly based at the Devonport Naval Base, Auckland, with many services and facilities, including facilities for sports, training, cultural and other activities, including ship engineering and flight support and the base for the New Zealand Navy Band and the Museum.
The base overlooks Auckland Harbour, and incorporates the Navy Museum at Spring St, Devonport, Open to the public, and the Navy Band, who perform right throughout New Zealand. The Navy likes to promote healthy living and active participation in sport and recreation by it's personnel
The Dry Dock is an asset that is used by both Navy and commercial shipping, including the Inter islander ferries. |
