From Te Anau Downs, a launch transports hikers to the start of the renowned Milford Track. The 54km track takes five days to complete with there huts provided en route for overnight stays.

Lake Te Anau is the largest lake in the South Island and the second largest in New Zealand. From Te Anau to Milford Sound is said to be one of the best scenic alpine drives in the world.
